Give Back & Get Involved!
Through the Office of Community Service & Learning, UNH engages students in service to others and prepares students to lead lives of purpose. OCSL connects the university and the community, fostering partnerships in civic engagement and social action.
- Incoming freshmen are invited to participate in PrOVES - Pre-Orientation Volunteer Experience in Service. Move in a week early and work on local community service projects with 80 of your new classmates!
- There are many student organizations focused on community service, such as Alpha Phi Omega, Alternative Break Challenge, Circle K, Golden Key International Honour Society, and many others. Visit Wildcat Link to find the right option for you!
- Our office can provide guidance if you are interested in starting your own community service initiative. Examples include visiting local groups homes, partnering with local Habitat for Humanity projects, mentoring local teens, working with afterschool programs, hosting fundraising or awareness events, or organizing an environmental project.
- Many graduating students participate in national international service programs such as AmeriCorps, City Year, Peace Corps, Teach for America, or others. Contact us to learn more about the programs or for help with your application.
