Community Service and Learning

Get Excited and Get Involved!

The Office of Community Service and Learning serves as a resource center for students and other members of the University community. We strive to engage students in positive, productive and meaningful ways to serve our local communities.

  • Every day, students participate individually, as a group of friends, roommates, as a member of a student organization or a fraternity or sorority.
  • Every day, students are involved in visits to local group homes, Habitat for Humanity projects, local literacy efforts, mentoring relationships with local youth, and assisting with fundraising efforts and special events.
  • Every day, students participate in service-learning activities, linking classroom learning with service to the community.

Volunteer and community  Service Opportunities

Note that these are only a few of many service opportunities available. Research various agencies to find a good match. Charity Navigator and the Better Business Bureau  offer reviews of non-profits and charitable organizations throughout the U.S. and internationally. If you have questions, please contact us.
