GENERAL PARKING PERMIT QUALIFYING
CRITERIA:
Student Commuter:
- Must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate class
for the current semester.
- Must live outside of an established Commuter
Eligibility boundry (within than 1 mile of the Durham campus or 1/4 mile from a
campus/downtown bus stop stop). Map.
Note: Under this restriction, residents of "The Cottages" are not
eligible for commuter permits!
- Must hold no other current UNH parking permit (m/c ok,
same eligibility).
Student Resident (Woodside, Gables, E/E1,
Forest Park
permits):
- Must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate class
for the current semester.
- Must reside in qualified UNHD campus housing
(dorms/complexes, see below).
- Only Woodside residents are eligible for Woodside
permits.
- Only Gables residents are eligible for Gables permits.
- E/E1 permits are restricted to Area II and Area III
residents. Residents of Area I, and Gables & Woodside residents and any
other campus residents are not eligible for E/E1 permits.
- Forest Park permits are initially restricted to residents of
Forest Park complex only.
Leftover Forest Park permits potentially may be sold to those residents
eligible for E/E1 permits (see 5, above).
- Must hold no other current UNH parking permit (m/c or
moped not
ok; eligible campus residents may hold EITHER a car permit or a
motorcycle/moped permit, but not both.)
- Freshman campus residents are not ordinarily eligible
to hold Resident permits.
Student Resident West:
- Must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate class
for the current semester.
- Must reside in UNHD campus housing (dorms/complexes).
- Must hold no other current UNH parking permit.
- Freshmen campus residents are not ordinarily eligible
to hold Resident West permits.
Graduate Assistant:
- Must be a graduate student enrolled in a graduate
assistantship for the current semester as documented by the Grad School.
- May not reside in campus housing.
- Must live 1-mile or more from Durham campus, and at
least 1/4 mile from a Campus Connector stop.

- Must hold no other current UNH parking permit.
- Grad students ineligible for Grad Assistant permits may
be eligible for commuter or resident permits.
Faculty/Staff:
- Must have full or part time employment with the
University of N.H., with business on the Durham campus.
- Permits not renewed if outstanding fines exist.
- Must not live in Durham campus housing, including
Forest Park.
- Must hold no other current UNH parking permit, except
m/c and certain departmental permits.

If a person's eligibility changes (e.g., move off
campus, move to a disqualified residence hall, withdraw from school/employment,
etc.) after a permit is purchased , but before the normal expiration date, the
permit shall become invalid, with no refund or guaranteed exchange.

Resident permits subject to availability. All vehicles must be registered in
their respective states. Permits subject to revocation for enforcement or
disciplinary action.
