American Reinvestment and  Recovery Act

 

The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act was signed to law by President Obama on February 19, 2009.  Stimulus funds have been apportioned throughout federal agencies, including the US Department of Transportation and its Federal Transit Administration for re-apportioning at state and local levels.  Various UNH entities were recipients of ARRA funding, including University Transportation Services.

 

University Transportation Services ARRA Projects:

• $135,800.00  for a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) maintenance safety equipment and vehicle lift.
  Status: Construction started.
  
  

• $1.6 million for purchase of four low-floor Compressed Natural Gas transit buses.
  Status: Completed  

 

• $38,000 for radio/communication system replacement.
  Status:  Completed.
