With the money generated through
fundraising and donations, SWE is able to:
-
hold local outreach programs to inspire young women in middle
and high school to enjoy math and science.
-
send a group of members to both
the national and regional SWE conferences. There, the members
network with professionals, attend skill building workshops, and visit with
over 200 companies at the career fair.
-
hold member socials to bond and to help build a strong
organization.
-
put on a professional series in which SWE invites women who work
in the sciences and engineering to campus for dinner and to talk about
their experiences in a small group setting.
