UNH
PrOVES (Pre-Orientation Volunteer Experience in Service)is an
initiative designed to introduce community service and leadership
to first-year students. Participants will live on campus during
the program and will have a unique opportunity to become familiar
with the campus and local community. Activities include a day-long
leadership and team-building session at the UNH Browne Center,
community service activities, reflection, workshops and social

Hampshire
Outing Club |
The
New Hampshire Outing Club (NHOC) leads a handful of trips for
incoming freshmen during the weeks prior to the start of your
college experience. NHOC offers six week-long trips into the outdoors
(five prior to hall opening). Groups generally consist of 8 partipants,
and trips allow incoming students to become involved with an energetic
club, create new friendships that will last for years, and serve

Freshman
Camp |
Freshman Camp is the second oldest student-run
organization at UNH and is facilitated by 40 volunteer student
counselors. A wide range of individuals come together and enjoy
sports, skits, talent shows, and traditional summer camp activities.
Although you will be sharing Camp with over 180 incoming freshmen,
there is time for small discussion groups that address your questions
concerning UNH academics, class scheduling, roommates, social
life, homesickness, and the adjustment from high school to college.The
four days and three nights of Freshman Camp will be held at Camp
Robindel on Lake Winnipesaukee in Center Harbor, NH. Call (603)
