UNH President Mark W. Huddleston introduced the University's strategic plan in February 2010. The process—and progress—is ongoing. Look here for up-to-date information as we implement our vision for the University of New Hampshire in 2020. This plan is the result of more than a year’s work by hundreds of faculty, staff, students, and business and community leaders. It is a far-reaching and sets an ambitious course for UNH over the next 10 years. We will be updating this site as information becomes available.

Plan Updates

  • UNH is exploring new opportunities for faculty and students in Ghana, South Korea, Costa Rica, China, India, and Chile;
  • The Master of Arts in Development Policy and Practice welcomes its first class this summer;
  • UNH has doubled the number of online courses for summer 2011; and is beginning to move graduate professional programs to move to an on-line environment;
  • New academic programs are being developed in GIS, biological sciences, and Sustainability

The plan has three sections, (1) requisites for change, (2) programmatic initiatives, and (3) brick and mortar investments. The first section is the heart of the strategic plan that involves changes in our culture that establish the foundation for our ultimate success. The second section outlines specific initiatives, which give structure to the plan. The third section is a commitment to improve our University by investing in the capital improvements that are essential to do our good, innovative, and enterprising work.
