The Kidder Award

Before his death in 1998, UNH alumnus and former Dean of Students William "Bill" Kidder established a fund to support educational efforts directed at enhancing the understanding of sexual minorities and gender identities.

The Social Justice Award

The UNH Diversity Team presents the annual Social Justice Awards to individuals or groups who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, courage, and role modeling in promoting social justice issues at UNH and beyond.

The Women's Commission Stephanie Thomas Staff Award

Each year, the UNH President's Commission on the Status of Women recognizes the accomplishments of UNH women who have made outstanding contributions to promoting equity, advancing the status of women, and serving as role models for women on campus. The Stephanie Thomas Staff Award was named in honor of the former registrar who was a strong advocate for UNH staff.

The Professional Advising Award

The UNH Professional Advising Award recognizes a professional advising staff member for excellence across the spectrum of academic advising. Winners are chosen based on their demonstration of genuine concern and respect for students; professional and ethical standards; mastery of advising principles; engagement in activities that enhance and support academic advising at UNH; and overall enthusiasm.

 

President’s Excellence through Diversity Award

The President's Excellence Through Diversity Award recognizes outstanding leadership in advancing diversity at the University of New Hampshire. The award was presented for the first time in the spring of 2006.
