Welcome

It is a pleasure to present the fifth annual awarding of Staff Excellence.
        I invite you to learn about five of our talented colleagues selected to receive this year’s Presidential Award of Excellence, the highest honor bestowed upon University staff. These awards are presented to those, nominated by their peers, who have demonstrated particular excellence through outstanding performance and a significant record of dedication to the University community.
        You will also learn about staff members who have been recognized for their contributions to diversity and social justice on campus. Their responsibilities vary widely, but all of this year’s award recipients contribute to building and ensuring a stronger, safer, more sustainable, and more inclusive community.
        These women and men are the human faces behind the well-publicized programs and departments that attract students and faculty to our campus from around the world. Every year, they directly touch the lives of thousands of students seeking the critical skills they need to succeed academically and socially at UNH; they work with faculty and colleagues to prepare students to make the best choices they can possibly make, be it in their academic careers or their lives; and they extend their expertise to individuals and communities on issues ranging from transportation to land management.
        I am proud to work alongside these talented and dedicated people who do so much for our community.
