How to Create Web Activities?
The Internet offers vital resources of up-to-date cultural information and authentic materials in the target language has captured the attention of foreign language professionals. While implementing web pages for foreign language instruction, you need to consider the following questions:
- How can Web activities help students acquire "functional" language skills and cultural competence?
- What can students actually do with Web materials?
When creating Web activities, several steps need to be taken into consideration:
- Objectives: what are the purposes for using Internet?
- Method: what instructional strategies can be incorporated into Web activities?
- Procedure/Activities: how and what activities do students need to carry out?
- Assessment/Evaluation: how to measure students' learning outcome?
