Reaction Papers


You are required to write three two-page (double-spaced) reaction papers on the articles of your choice from different journals. You can choose articles from the Professional Language Journals. Make sure you use the following guidelines to write your paper. The paper should be written in a 12-point font using any word-processing program. You are welcome to send it to me as attachment via e-mail before the class. 

 

I.  Information about the Journal

1.      Name of the journal

2.      Name of the article

3.      Date of publication

4.      Author

II.  Information about the Article

Use the following questions to describe the content of the article:

1.  What was the purpose of the research? 

2.  What was the main theoretical framework that the author used for the study?

3.  What was the method used for the investigation?

4.  What were the results?

5.  What were the conclusions and implications?

III.  Your Reaction/Critique

You should express your impressions and thoughts about the study and what the investigator

may have left out of the study that should be included but not your personal learning or

teaching experience.
