There are eight-hour workshops created by WGBH Boston in association with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) in 2004. You are required to view each workshop as homework assignment for this course (See course syllabus). Each workshop will help you understand how National Standards for Foreign Language Learning play out in classroom situations and how you can make connections between the National Standards and current research/classroom practice in foreign language teaching and learning.
