Sociology Professor to Speak at National Bullying Prevention Summit, 9/20/2011

Sociology Professor Sharyn Potter will present at the Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Summit in Washington, D.C. tomorrow. One of only two academics invited to present, Prof. Potter will discuss the strategies and evaluation methods she and her UNH colleagues developed for the Know Your Power Bystander Social Marketing Campaign and how those might be used to combat bullying. Other presenters at this annual summit include U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, and executives from Facebook, Seventeen Magazine, and USA Network.
