Each year, fifty to sixty undergraduate and graduate students travel to Cambridge where they take two courses from offerings in English literature, writing, and history. Studies are at Gonville and Caius, established in 1348 and the fourth-oldest of Cambridge University’s thirty-one colleges. For three decades, the UNH Summer Program in Cambridge has provided more than 1,600 students with the opportunity to learn first-hand the truth of E.M. In 2002 the University undertook a comprehensive master plan which was approved by the Board of Trustees in 2004. That comprehensive work engaged representatives from across all facets of the campus and the town. The plan depicted a 20-year planning horizon and included broad programming for all campus entities and their projected space needs. It demonstrated feasibility including transportation and traffic analysis, landscape master planning, building design guidelines, and identification of all anticipated new and renovation projects prioritized into 4 phases.

UNH Safe Zones is an educational program to raise awareness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Ally (LGBTQA) issues and contribute to a campus climate of inclusion at UNH, by preparing members of the UNH community to support LGBTQ faculty, students, and staff and take active steps toward reducing and preventing harassment, discrimination, and violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

The Media Relations office at the University of New Hampshire works with local, regional and national media to tell the university’s stories and connect journalists with faculty experts. It disseminates news releases to members of the media and responds to media inquires. The office also produces Campus Journal, an online weekly newsletter that reaches more than 4,400 faculty and staff, and works with colleagues in University Communications and Marketing to produce UNHtoday, the university’s daily e-mail news update with more than 30,000 subscribers.

Sea Grant is a federal-university partnership whose mission, as mandated by Congress, is to foster the sustainable development of the nation’s coastal resources. Operating through a university-based network, Sea Grant supports research, education and outreach to help balance the conservation of coastal and marine resources with a sustainable economy and environment. Sea Grant addresses a broad range of issues including aquaculture, marine biotechnology, seafood processing, the development of marine products, fisheries recruitment and conservation, estuarine processes and marine policy.

The UNH Synchronized Skating Team consists of fun, dedicated, and hard-working girls with varying skating backgrounds. The team practices 6 hours on-ice and 5 hours off-ice per week. We look forward to competing at the Cape Cod Classic in Bourne, MA, the Colonial Classic in Lowell, MA, the Eastern Sectional Championships in Hershey, Pennsylvania and hope to qualify for the National Championships in Colorado for the 2013-2014 season.

The Woodside Apartment Complex is located at 60 Strafford Avenue immediately behind our world-class recreation and sports facility, the Whittemore Center/Campus Recreation Center, and is connected to the campus by an easy walk. The complex is nestled in a beautiful wooded area and consists of 99, four (4) person apartments housing 396 students. Each unit comes fully furnished with a complete kitchen and dining room, fully furnished living room and beds and bureaus for 4 residents. All units are equipped with the internet, cable television, on-site laundry facility which accepts Cat’s Cache only, and of course all heat and utilities are included in the one-time bill for the semester. On-site parking for 200 cars is available with the purchase of a parking permit from Parking Services. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings of the Woodside complex.
