SMART 9/9/05
Sponsorship: Grace left messages with Timkin and Hypotherm about the packets dropped off, have not heard back yet from them. Still need to call NH Fire Protection, Spetra, and Bond Optics
Need a logo and group photo before we can put out new sponsorship packets to other companies. Decided: Today we will take a group photo which we can update in the future if need be and next week everyone to come in with a logo idea
Matt proposed we need a "rules expert" someone to be responsible for understanding and keeping the rules for the competition Jen Towle offered to do that. At next meeting we will have a copy of last years rules to refer to until this years rules are updated.
Matt also proposed that we need someone to keep inventory of all our supplies, Grace offered to do that starting with 30 lb bucket of flame retardant and a couple pitman motors.
Design ideas: CRAZY! Next week we are all to bring in one design idea for the robot Matt suggested doing a little research and coming up with crazy ideas (brain storming)
Grace has challenged Wayne in an out crazy-ing contest
Senior Design Project and SMART discussion was held as to weather SMART wanted to join forces with the fire fighting robot SDP or to what extent we might want to collaborate. Currently the group decided to continue our plans to having a separate robot but possible share the maze and ideas with each other. Further thought will be given if we want to join up with them, door not closed but group plans are moving forward.
Sign ups were held for delivery of new sponsorship packets when they are ready Grace will hold on to who signed up for which businesses
