SMART 9/2/05
Present: Grace, Matt, Lina, Wayne, Erick, Jen
Constitution, recognition forms, marketing worksheet given to all members
Date of Competition: April 8 and 9, 7 months to work on project registration begins Jan 23- March 13
Lina volunteered to update the website: we discussed things to put on website such as a web journal with updates as we progress including pictures, our name, links to the competition site, list of members with autobiography and contact information, developments of the robot "Art"
Erick volunteered to update the blackboard site. Both Erick and Lina have volunteered to work on the controls aspect of the robot.
Wayne volunteered to work on the assembly and machining of the robot, Grace suggest checking with Bob to see possible times for machining including maybe Saturday due to Wayne’s experience in the shop.
Jen volunteered to do secretarial duties, take notes during meetings type and post them for the group to review.
Grace did work on sponsorship packages which got delivered to 6 companies, we had a donation of dry chemical fire out from NH fire protection. Packets were given to the ME department, recommendations such as a logo and group picture, were made by Todd Gross. New packets will be put together and distributed by the group to places such as Ace, Home Depot, Lowes
Much discussion about opening the group to others, this semester we decided to do invitation only joining with possible opening it to more next semester when we are working on the robot
Funding needs to be our number one priority
We each gave an estimate of hours we would be able to donate to the club with flexibility:
Grace- 4, Matt 3-4, Jen 2, Erick 3-4, Lina 4, Wayne 2-3
Another idea put on the table was a possible yearbook for SMART?
