11/28/10 - The UNH Ski and Board Club will be kicking off the season with its first trip, this weekend (12/4) to Sunday River! Don't forget to sign up for the club at campusrec.unh.edu, and fill out your code of conduct and health history forms. To sign up for the trip, respond to the "esurveyspro" link that was sent out by the ski and board email account unhskinbaordclub@gmail.com. We hope to see you out there this weekend!
5/3/10 - Thank you everyone for a huge 2009 - 2010 season! We had the largest enrollment the club has seen since it started in '99. Both Brendan and Elisa are graduating this May, so look for Jack Fagone in the fall to sign up for the 2010 - 2011 season. Have a wonderful summer and see everyone in the fall!
3/29/10 - Our t-shirts are in! We will be selling them in the MUB and the Hamel Rec Center soon. Prices are only $10 and we have all different sizes. Send us an email if you are interested in purchasing one of these sweet t's.
2/2/10 - We want to apologize to everyone who was on the ski trip this past weekend (1/30) when the bus broke down. We have scheduled an additional trip to Loon on Sunday Feb 21st to make up the lost skiing. This additional trip will not affect the trip to Sunday River on the 20th. Everyone who was on the 1/30 trip is guarenteed a spot on this extra trip, however if you do not sign up your seat will be offered to other ski club members who are interested in going. If you were on the busted bus on 1/30, expect an email from us the week or so before the make up trip.
12/07/09 - Join our friends at Outdoor Adventures for a Telemark ski film tonight in MUB Theater II at 7pm. Admission is free with a canned good for UNH Cornucopia. Please join Outdoor Adventures as we present the new Powerwhores Film called Flakes. It is an all telemark ski film but all types of skiers and riders are welcome to attend! Please bring a canned good for the UNH Cornucopia as this show is benefiting them. At the movie Outdoor Adventures will present their winter trip schedule which includes backcountry ski trips and ice climbing trips! If you are interested in exploring some backcountry skiing in New Hampshire this winter please join us at this event, we will be going to Mt. Moosilauke and Tuckerman's Ravine this coming winter! Trips will accommodate all types of skiers and snowboarders. Trip sign-ups will take place at the film or you can sign-up at the front desk in the Rec Center. 11/2/09 - The UNH Ski and Board Club presents - TETON GRAVITY RESEARCH SUPERSHOW!!! November 22nd 7:00pm in the Granite State Room. Tickets are $10 and are available at the MUB Ticket Office and online here. If you plan on attending, or want more info, visit our facebook page. We are bringing in some of the most well known skiers for this event, along a live band to kick things off!!! It should be a crazy party so come check it out!!!
10/28/09 - Thanks everyone who came to tonights meeting! We had an excellent turnout and it was a great kickoff to this ski season! Don't forget to fill out all your paperwork and pay your dues! Remember signup is online under the sport club tab at Campus Rec's Website. If you were unable to pick up a copy of the health history form it can be found here.
10/08/09 - The Meadhead Films movie premier this past Monday was a total hit with over 120 people! If you missed it check out Meathead Films Website and take a look at the tour! Remember the next informational meeting is Wednesday Oct 28th at 9:00pm in MUB Theater II. We will go over everything required to sign up for the club (paperwork, dues ect.) Hope to see everyone there!
09/29/09 - The UNH Ski and Board Club is proud to announce the showing of Meathead Film's movie premier "Wild Stallions" an epic ski film produced entirely on the east coast! The event will be held Monday October 5th in the Granite State Room in the MUB at 8:00pm. Vitamin Water will be there, and Meathead will be hosting a raffle with some awesome prizes! The event is totally free so swing by!
09/28/09 - Getting excited about the ski season? Come to our informational meeting on Wednesday October 28th in MUB Theater II at 9:00pm. We will provide information about the club, our trips, the season pass, how to sign up, and more!
09/15/09 - The New England Pass (The Club's Season Pass) is on sale for the low price of $329.00 but you need to act fast because prices go up 11/30! Contact either Brendan Nesheim at bda4@unh.edu or Elisa Giangiulio at esc3@unh.edu to purchase your pass in time. The pass is valid at Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Loon all season long with no blackout dates!
12/13/08 - Hey Everyone, We wanted to Thank You all for a great start to the season and look foward to seeing you all in January. Just remember to try and sign-up for trips only if you know your going to be able to attend. This will allow everyone who would like to go on the trip get on the trip.
