Cyber Security BrochureUNH CIS has published an informational website on phishing as part of its ongoing efforts to educate the UNH community about cyber security.

Phishing is a social engineering attempt to retrieve personal data such as Social Security Numbers, date of birth, passwords, and bank account numbers. UNH has been the target of many of these phishing attempts. Please know that UNH Computing and Information Services and reputable companies will never ask for personal information via E-mail. As a best practice, do not respond to suspected phishing E-mails. Simply delete them. If you are unsure about the validity of an E-mail, please contact the CIS Help Desk at 862-4242 before responding.

Please visit unh.edu/helpdesk/phishing to learn more about phishing, including how to prevent, identify, and recover from phishing scams.
