Outlook 2007 Calendar: Out of Office/Busy Tip
Nikky Homstad
December, 2008
Creating an ‘All Day Event’ in Outlook 2007 will not, by default, mark your calendar as ‘Busy’ or ‘Out of Office.’ Instead, it will show your calendar as ‘Free.’ This may lead to problems for people scheduling meetings involving you, as they will not be able to see that you are unavailable for the day.
Toggle the ‘Show As’ field to ‘Busy’ after scheduling an ‘All Day event’ to ensure that your calendar reflects your appropriate scheduling status.
