Microsoft Release SP1 for Windows Vista
April 1, 2008
Microsoft is now shipping Windows Vista with Service pack 1 (SP1). This latest update includes resolutions of many compatibility and performance issues together with added enhancements created from customer feedback. Current users of Vista can wait until mid-April when the SP1 download will be available as part of the Microsoft Vista updates. If you currently have automatic updates turned on, this update will occur automatically. Customers who prefer not to wait may find the download available from the Microsoft download center at www.microsoft.com/downloads.
Please be aware that this is a major system update. Allow yourself plenty of time to download and install the update. Times will vary depending on connection speeds as well as your computer’s processing abilities.
