If You Need Help

If you have experienced a traumatic event, you might be feeling overwhelmed and confused about what to do and where to go for help. We designed special Information Packets to help you understand and cope with what has happened. Hard copies of these packets are available at the SHARPP Office at 12 Ballard Street. You can also read abbreviated versions by clicking on the appropriate links:

Although reading about the issues is a great first step, SHARPP strongly recommends that you also connect with our office at (603) 862-3494 . (Confidential TTY:1-800-735-2964). Our crisis line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. A peer advocate is available to work one-to-one with you to explore your options and will provide support and clarification. All SHARPP advocates receive extensive training to become state-certified in assisting survivors of sexual violence. Individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, ages; ethnic, economic, racial, and religious backgrounds; nationalities, and mental and physical abilities are welcome at SHARPP. Our advocates also reflect UNH's diverse community and can connect you with a variety of on or off-campus groups who could be an additional source of support.

SHARPP services are available to all students, staff, and faculty at UNH. We are not set up to serve children; we provide information and referrals to appropriate local organizations. We do not provide on-going service to perpetrators of sexual and intimate partner violence, but we do encourage individuals to get help in changing destructive patterns by offering information and referrals elsewhere.
