Getting Help
Emotional Support
With trauma comes a wide range of emotional reactions. Survivors can experience anything from anger to sadness to fear to anxiety. There is no “right” way to feel after you have been a victim of sexual assault, relationship abuse or stalking. As advocates, we are here to listen to your situation, validate your emotions, and empower you to take care of yourself.
SHARPP advocates can serve as the non-judgmental sounding board you may need to process your emotional responses to what has happened. Our 24-hour, 365 days a year support line is available whenever you need to talk, vent or establish options. We offer office appointments and welcome walk-ins during business hours as well.
