About
The Student Committee on Popular Entertainment's mission is to promote live, nationally recognized entertainment to the University of New Hampshire. The programming involved, which includes concerts, comedy shows, and other entertainment productions, will be offered to students at a rate less than that offered to the general public if charges apply. S.C.O.P.E. will attempt to select genres of performances that will appeal to the largest cross-section of the student body, subject to availability of the artist and/or venues.
SCOPE consists of a volunteer membership, as well as an executive membership. There are currently 25 Executive Members, responsible for the entirety of planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating the shows at the University of New Hampshire. S.C.O.P.E. is headed by an Executive Director, and made up of five different departments: Business, Hospitality, Production, Publicity, and Security. Each department has it's own director and other individual members. When show week arrives, all executive members pull together to put on an awesome show.
