Welcome to the Russian Program. The Program offers students the opportunity to study the Russian language for 4 years beginning with Elementary Russian and to examine important works of literature of 19th and 20th century in English. In addition students explore Russian contemporary society and culture, and the history of the Russian language. In the advanced language classes students work on conversation, reading and writing skills, and have the opportunity to read works on a variety of topics in Russian.

Study abroad, internships, and double or dual majors are excellent ways to enhance the value of the course work done by majors and minors. Students may also graduate with honors in the major providing they complete the necessary classes and a senior thesis. Students may also participate in our very active Russian Club. The program offers students an array of opportunities to meet and work with its faculty. We encourage you to take advantage of all we have to offer.

UNH graduates with a Russian major have entered a variety of career fields, including law, business, teaching, consulting, government, NGO's (Non Government Organizations) and the Peace Corps. The opportunities are limited only by the limits you set for yourself.
