Background

After working as a hall director at UNH for five years (two years in Christensen Hall and three years in Sawyer Hall), I am the newest Assistant Director in the department. I am originally from a suburb of Chicago, but I spent many summers visiting family in New England during my childhood, so I am absolutely thrilled to be living in this beautiful part of the country. I completed my undergraduate work in Public Relations at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and completed my graduate work in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

I married Dave, my adorably funny best friend, after graduate school and we spent one year living in Kentucky before we landed in New Hampshire. Dave and I will celebrate our sixth anniversary this June and we became parents in December with the arrival of our daughter, Madelyn. When I am not working and laughing with the fabulous people of Res Life, I like to cook, spend time with family and friends, read, and travel around finding great scenery to capture on my Nikon camera. I also enjoy spacing out in front of the television every once in a while, and my favorite shows are: Alias, Gilmore Girls, and anything on the Food Network.

I have a lot of passion for diversity work and my goal is to translate that enthusiasm into an engaging approach to diversity education for our department for the students we serve. Lastly, and most importantly, I look forward to the interactions I will have with my four supervisees, the senior resident assistants, and everyone else in the department!
