Sawyer Hall has the best of all worlds! We are in a prime location on campus , have an incredible community, and have tons of fun every day! Sawyer is a perfect blend of mostly first year students and sophomores with a sprinkling of juniors and seniors. There are no singles in Sawyer but the roommate friendships that develop help create the amazing community that you can be a part of with all the stars of Sawyer!

The Scoop on Sawyer:

  • Sawyer residents love intramurals, participating in broom ball, volleyball, basketball and many other activities.

  • Sawyer has both club and varsity athletes from cross country skiing to Crew and Gymnastics.

  • Sawyer is a co-ed Residence Hall (the basement and first floor are coed by wing; The second and third are co-ed by room).

  • Sawyer was renovated in 2003 and still has that new car smell… Come check out our beautiful building!

  • Awesome central location - Close to two dining halls and a just a stones throw from downtown and the Whit. We even have our own front and back yard!

Partnership with Parent's Night Out at Mast Way Elementary

Sawyer is partnered with Mast Way Elementary School in Lee, NH. On the first Friday of any given month you will find 15-20 Sawyer residents volunteering their time hanging out with 3 to 11 year old kiddos from the school. We have a blast playing kickball, sharks and minnows and working on all sorts of crafts. It is great spending time with our future UNHers!

Our Dedication to Academics

60 Sawyer Hall residents were academic all-stars last semester with GPA’s ranging from a 3.2 all the way up to a 4.0!! Even though we love to have tons of fun academics are taken very seriously in Sawyer. While not everyone makes honors, the level of commitment is obvious throughout our hall. Many students are conducting research with their faculty or participating in internships. It is awesome to see so many students studying together on any given night!
