Mini Dorms Hall Director

Undergraduate degreeB.A. in Psychology and Minor in Theatre from Smith College

Graduate degree: .Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Boston University

Why did you become a hall director?:

I have a passion for students and their development throughout these crazy years of their lives. I am very social, and enjoy talking with and learning about people from all different kinds of backgrounds, so a college campus is a great place to so that while helping make a positive impact on students’ experiences.

Why did you choose UNH? What attracted you to the area or to the school?:

MarathonUNH has such a unique and in-depth philosophy on how to educate students outside of the classroom, while making their living experiences awesome. The Res. Life staff here is also amazing, and I could tell right away that they are committed to working with and for students. The location is also great- I am from Vermont, so it is close to home as well as my beloved BeantownJ The Ocean and mountains are close as well, and I love the outdoors, so it is a perfect “in between” place.

Any previous experiences, hobbies, etc. that you would want first year students to know about you?:

I enjoy running a lot, and hope to train for another race this year. I also enjoy other fitness activities- I recently learned how to play Squash, so anyone wanting to play, I’m game!  I also like to cook, read, travel and do service at the same time if possible. I am really hoping to get the Minis involved in some service off campus this year!

Any advice for Incoming students?:

Try and relish in your new experiences, and be open to all different kinds of people, classes, activities and even food! This is an amazing year, so take advantage of all the opportunities available to you – it will be important in your later college years to know what you likeJ

Thoughts you might be having coming into your own "1st year" at UNH?:

I am so excited to be entering into my first year as a Resident Director at UNH. I know there will be many challenges I will face, many may be with my residents, but I hope we can create a strong community and we will all have a very memorable year!
