This is a great way to start out your first year at UNH–

live with other First Year Students and take a small seminar class together.

Research shows that students who start out

in a living/learning community are more likely to:

· Experience a smooth transition to college

· Have a mentoring relationship with a faculty member

· Talk with peers about academic and social issues

· Find their residence hall climate to be academically
and socially supportive

· Utilize critical thinking skills

· Drink less and have fewer negative consequences of drinking
