Benefits of Living on CP

picIt's like a family
picGet a broad base of
diverse friends
picGet into those "Philosophical
debates" everyone talks about.
picEasy to get involved on anything with the floor
picClose to the MUB and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

This is a floor like none other on campus.  Common Purposes (or CP) is a place where lots of great people from all over the world call home.

It’s a place where you can engage anyone at anytime in conversations about the world, campus climate, or just classes people are taking together.  It’s a place where your opinions about anything will be listened to and sometimes challenged.  And it’s a safe place, an open place, for people of diverse backgrounds to get together and really put their heart into a community.

Throughout the year, we’ve had great socials and events happen on the floor.  Some of them include: “Uno W/ A Twist” (examining privilege and our society); the Picturebox Bio (where people could meet others and tell their stories to one another); Brick painting (gotta keep those doors open).  Some out of the dorm events include a winning broomball team, trips to the MUB for different programs, tea at Breaking New Grounds Downtown, Frisbee around campus, floor dinners in Holloway, MUB Movie Nights, and more!!!
