Research Integrity Services Welcomes Melissa McGee

Melissa McGee joined the Research Integrity Services (RIS) staff in the position of Compliance Officer on Monday, September 16, 2013.   In this new position, Melissa will be working initially on UNH’s Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) program, then taking on export controls and other institutional compliance issues related to research.  Melissa moved from Sponsored Programs Administration to this position.

New Director of Animal Resources Office

Dean Elder, D.V.M. is the new Director of the UNH Animal Resources Office (ARO).  Dean has worked in the ARO since 2005 in various positions, including Associate Director.   He has been Interim ARO Director since mid August.   Dean is also UNH’s Attending Veterinarian, the IACUC Veterinarian, the IACUC Vice Chair, and UNH’s authorized DEA representative for controlled substances.   He also works for COLSA as the Agricultural Experiment Station Veterinarian.
