The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released a new strategic plan --  Empowering the Nation Through Discovery and Innovation - NSF Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years (FY) 2011-2016 -- which sets the Foundation’s direction for the next five years.

New UNH Research website now serves as single portal to research support services and information

The resources provided by all the units of the Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research have been moved to the newly designed webpage, UNH Research -- www.unh.edu/research

By using the menus in the tabs across the top of the UNH Research page and the search box, users will be able to find the information that formerly was provided on the sites for:

Online Course: Introductory Research Commercialization

The Research Commercialization Introductory Course is designed to help researchers better understand what research commercialization really is and how it works.

The UNH Office for Research Partnerships and Commercialization recommends it for all science and engineering researchers (e.g., grad students, post-docs, and faculty).


Areas covered in the course include:

  • intellectual property

  • patents

  • copyrights

SPECIAL EVENT: Two Days of State-­Wide SBIR/STTR Workshops - April 21-22, 2011

The UNH Office for Research Partnerships and Commercialization is pleased to announce a special event for technology-based entrepreneurs and small companies.  Workshops devoted to learning about and preparing proposals to the federal SBIR/STTR grant programs will take place in 3 locations around New Hampshire on April 21 and 22, 2011.

Complying with UNH Financial Conflict of Interest in Research Policy

If you conduct externally sponsored research and you have a significant financial interest that could be impacted by your research, then you must comply with the UNH policy on Financial Conflict of Interest in Research. 

 

For example, if you have an ownership stake in a company and your externally-funded research could benefit the company, this is a financial conflict of interest in research.
