New NSF General Grant Conditions (GC-1) Effective October 1, 2010

Effective October 1, 2010 (except as noted below) new NSF grants and funding amendments to existing NSF grants begin referencing and are subject to the Grant General Conditions (GC-1) dated 10/10. 

 

Exceptions:   

Effort Certification and Required Training - Due October 1

UNH is currently collecting Personnel Activity Reports (PAR’s) for FY10.  Timely completion of the PAR’s is a UNH policy and a federal requirement subject to audit and financial penalties.  UNH policy requires return of signed FY10 PAR’s by October 1, 2010.

NSF to Require Data Mangement Plan in Proposals

The National Science Foundation is planning to require that all proposals include a data management plan in the form of a two-page supplementary document. This requirement, announced at the May 5 National Science Board meeting, is explained in a May 10th NSF Press Release.

NIH Eliminates Error-Correction Window for Grant.gov Submissions

NIH, along with AHRQ and NIOSH, has announced it will eliminate the two-day error correction window for Grants.gov proposals with due dates on or after January 25, 2011.  As a consequence of this change, there will no longer be the opportunity to correct eRA Commons identified errors/warnings and resubmit a Grants.gov application after the deadline.  Applications that are not successfully validated by Grants.gov and eRA Commons by 5 p.m.
