RCI was established to provide comprehensive Information Technology and Instrumentation services in support of the UNH research mission. This was achieved in the fall of 2010 by combining the Research Computing Center (RCC), the University Instrumentation Center (UIC) and Research Information Technology (RIT).

RCI consists of 20 full time staff who provide:

  • Research Computing including software development solutions for the web, desktop, and mobile devices;  data management and support; and a newly renovated 2,000 square foot data center.
Areas of Expertise:  Geographical Information Systems (GIS); scientific and mathematical programming; database administration; system and network administration; data security; technical support
Users of These Services: Research faculty and principal investigators, research administrative offices, academic and administrative departments, external businesses, and government agencies
  • Instrumentation including access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, as well as instrument repair and calibration.

Areas of Expertise: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Electron Microscopy

Users of These Services: UNH faculty, staff and students, industrial clients, government entities, and other academic institutions
