Steps for PIs and Fund Managers certification of their own and their employees' effort online:

1. Log into the ECG VPN ( http://www.usnhgateway.org).
   Your AD account and password should work. Contact the UNH IT Help Desk for support in accessing the ECG VPN.

2. Once the ECG VPN is connected, access WISE (http://wise.unh.edu/).

3. Choose the "Effort Certification for PI's and Fund Managers" option on the WISE menu.

4. Choose the "Review or Certify Reports" menu option to access the effort reports to certify the effort for others.

5. Use the advanced search to get a list of employees.
   Entering "Y" for the chart of account search option will return all effort reports in your queue.

6. Click on an Employee line to highlight it, then on the open icon above to begin certifying their effort.

7. Click the "Certify" button if correct or contact the BSC to correct labor cost distribution.

8. Remember to certify your own effort. Remain in the ECG VPN. Go to the main menu and select "Certify My Effort". Open your effort report, review, certify, and agree to the certification statement.
