X-Ray Safety

Overview

The X-Ray Protection Program at UNH oversees the safe use of X-Ray devices on campus. It provides guidance for the compliance with the NH Rules for the Control of Radiation regulated by the Radiological Health Section of the State of NH Health and Human Services.

UNH acknowledges its responsibility to provide a program for the handling, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals, to provide emergency response to incidents involving hazardous chemicals, and to educate the UNH community about the safe use of hazardous chemicals in research, teaching, and public service activities.

The Office of Faculty Development and Inclusive Excellence Initiatives supports UNH faculty and academic administrators in their ongoing quest for excellence in teaching, research, outreach, and leadership.

Faculty Development Programs are offered for two audiences:

  • Faculty Mentoring Program to assist junior faculty in their academic career development

  • Professional Development for Academic Leaders Program for senior faculty and department chairs for leadership skill enhancement

These programs complement those offered by the
Research Office.

Sponsored Programs Administration

Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) helps prepare and is the authorized UNH entity to submit proposals to external sponsors. SPA negotiates and accepts awards on behalf of UNH; manages post-award sponsored programs finance and administration; and promotes accountablilty and compliance with Federal, State, sponsor, and UNH rules and regulations.

Sponsored Programs Administration supports the faculty; facilitates the grant process; and mediates among the interests of the institution, the sponsor, and the faculty.  Core functions include both pre- award services and post-award administration.
