Developing a budget is an important part of the proposal process, and your budget must conform to established federal, UNH, and other sponsor requirements. 

Grant and Contract Administrators (GCAs) provide one-on-one assistance with budget development. Contacting your GCA early and often will smooth the budget development process for you.

The review and approval of a proposal for external sponsorship generally involves consideration of:

• its merit and appropriateness to the institutional mission

• financial impact of the proposed activity

• compliance with institutional policies and sponsor requirements

These approvals are documented using the UNH Internal Approval Form (a.k.a. the Yellow-Sheet).
