Laboratory Ventilation Management Program

Laboratory ventilation system management and operation are critical to protecting the health and safety of faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  Properly operating laboratory ventilation systems capture contaminants from the work area, prevent occupational exposures, and disperse them to the outside environment.

The UNH Laboratory Ventilation Management Program identifies roles and responsibilities of stakeholders related to the use, management, maintenance and renovation of laboratory ventilation systems at UNH.

Shutdown Procedures

UNH maintains a list of building-specific procedures for the shutdown of laboratory ventilation equipment. Questions regarding shutdown of laboratory ventilation equipment should be directed to the Laboratory Safety Officer at (603) 862-5038.
