How Do I Complete the Personnel Tab?
Comprehensive How To Guides > Creating Proposal Submissions > Using the Personnel Tab > How Do I Complete the Personnel Tab?
General Information
Personnel Type and Role assignments should be carefully reviewed for each person on your project. Your responses will affect how InfoEd sends the information to Grants.gov and how the data is reported at UNH. For more information on defining personnel types and roles, see “UNH Project Personnel Type and Role Definitions”.
Adding Personnel
Principal Investigators are automatically added to the personnel section for each project.
To add additional project personnel, click the “Personnel” tab. The below screen will open listing each person.

The available fields for existing personnel are as follows:
The radio button on the left hand side of the table identifies the Project PI/PD.
The email icon can be used to email people on your project. Click the icon and a self explanatory form will open up:

COI identifies if this person has a Conflict of Interest. You can click the icon to inspect where applicable.
Clicking the “CV/Biosketch” or “Current/Pending Support” icons will open a file browser where you can upload or delete existing documents.

To add additional personnel:
Start by typing the last name of the individual you want to add. Wait a few seconds and an alphabetical dropdown list will present the available names. Click on the person you wish to add.
Select the appropriate Personnel Type and Role (see “UNH Project Personnel Type and Role Definitions”)
Click “Add”, located just below the dropdown list to include this person.
The “Add New Profile” button located next to the drop down list should only be used for adding TBD personnel. If you don’t see the person you wish to add to your project via the dropdown list, contact your GCA.
NOTE: If the personnel being added is not affiliated with UNH, you also have the ability to add a new temporary profile. To do this, click “Add New Profile”. A new window will appear. Fill in as much information as possible. Select “Temporary Profile” and click “Save”.

When finished, select “Person Months” from the drop down list on the right hand side.
Optionally fill in the number of Calendar, Academic, or Summer months the person will be on the project, per year. (this step can also be performed within the budget).
Upload the CV/Biosketch as applicable.
Save your work
Personnel added this way will automatically be added to your budget
Click on the person’s name to inspect attributes from there GENIUS profile.
In most cases these fields will be automatically populated. In some cases you may need to add additional Sponsor Credentials (NIH, NSF) s shown below.
You can also change the persons Role and Type from here.
Click “Budget Roles” to propagate these changes to each project period
In some case InfoEd will need to transpose the project role consistent with sponsor requirement. Click “Grants.Gov” to inspect this agency value.
Click Save and Close when finished.

When you have completed editing all project personnel, check “Completed” in the upper right hand corner to mark the page as complete.
