To assist awardees in interpreting the NSF Public Access Policy and the requirements outlined in the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), NSF has released an updated version of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Public Access (NSF 17-060).

The National Science Foundation has developed a plan outlining a framework for activities to increase public access to scientific publications and digital scientific data resulting from research the foundation funds. NSF's policy on public access to copyrighted material (Public Access Policy) reflects the Foundation's commitment to making certain that, to the extent possible, the American public, industry and the scientific community have access to the results of Federally funded scientific research.

If you have questions about how to interpret these NSF guidelines as a UNH researcher, contact your Grant and Contract Administrator in Sponsored Programs Administration for assistance.
