In June 2014, the Irish Universities Association (IUA), in conjunction with several research-related organizations in Ireland, released a National Policy Statement on Ensuring Research Integrity in Ireland.    The aim of the statement is “to commit the main organisations in Irish research to the highest standards of integrity in carrying out their research so that partners and other stakeholders, and the international research community may have full confidence in the Irish research system.”  The statement aligns with similar documents from the United Kingdom Research Integrity Office, and the European Science Foundation and All European Academies.
