Cooperative Extension Discussion on Feb 26: Providing a Safe and Welcoming Environment at UNH for Minors

UNH Cooperative Extension's Issues & Ice Cream discussion series continues on February 26, 2014, 12:30 - 2:00 p.m., in MUB Rooms 338-340 with a discussion of how to provide a safe and welcoming environment for youth who visit the campus each year or participate in UNH programs off campus.

Pat McCabe from UNH Human Resources and chair of the Committee for Protection of Minors Policy will provide an update on the proposed policy. A facilitated roundtable discussion will follow about creating a positive, safe environment for the more than 30,000 minors on campus or at UNH-related activities off campus. Attendees are invited to join the discussion.

  • Larry Barker - UNH Extension youth and family field specialist
  • Carrie Kimball - associate athletic director for operations
  • Cathy Leach - educational program coordinator for academic affairs
  • Erik Froburg - education and outreach specialist at UNH’s Joan and James Leitzel Center for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education

Ice cream will be served.
