NSF and US ED Issue Guidelines for Education Research and Development Projects

The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute of Educational Sciences, US Dept. of Education (IES/US ED) have released a joint report, Common Guidelines for Education Research and Development  (NSF 13-126) and related FAQs ( NSF 13-127). 

The report provides:

  •    Guidance on building the evidence base in STEM* learning
  •    Guidelines for six types of education “research” projects
  •    Overview of the nature, justification, evidence generation and so on for each project type

 *Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
