Cooperative Extension Discussion on Nov 13: Opportunities and Challenges for Vegetable and Fruit Production in New Hampshire

Nov 06, 2013

UNH Cooperative Extension's Issues & Ice Cream discussion series continues on November 13, 12:30 - 2:00 p.m., in MUB Rooms 338-340 with a discussion of opportunities and challenges for vegetable and fruit production in New Hampshire.

As more land is reclaimed as farmland, and as new entrepreneurs reinvent themselves as farmers, UNH Cooperative Extension is collaborating in research on innovative farming techniques.

At this Issues & Ice Cream event, learn how Extension field and state specialists are lending a hand in this evolving scene and hear about the applied research that is being conducted in partnership with farmers. Then join in a roundtable discussion about how UNH can continue to effectively engage with vegetable and fruit producers in the state.

Panelists:

  • Becky Sideman - Extension Professor/Specialist, Sustainable Horticulture Production
  • Heather Bryant - Extension Field Specialist, Food and Agriculture
  • George Hamilton - Extension Field Specialist, Food and Agriculture
