New Paper on Stewardship and Ethical Challenges of Spatially Explicit Data Co-Authored by UNH Professor

Joel Hartter, Roland H. O’Neil Associate Professor in the UNH Department of Geography, co-led with Sadie Ryan at SUNY ESF a paper addressing the stewardship and ethical challenges of spatially explicit data published in the September 2013 issue of PLOS Biology.  Hartter and colleagues discuss the evolving nature of research data and data sharing requirements, identify technical, social-cultural and ethical challenges of spatially explicit data, and provide recommendations for addressing these challenges.
