2013 Edition of Compilation of International Human Research Standards

May 30, 2013

The 2013 edition of the International Compilation of Human Research Standards is available from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP).

According to OHRP, this resource "enumerates over 1,000 laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern human subjects research in 104 countries, as well as the standards from a number of international and regional organizations.  It is developed by OHRP for use by researchers, IRBs/Research Ethics Committees, sponsors, and others who are involved in human subjects research around the world.  As in the past, in-country authorities around the world provide updates or confirmations of the accuracy of existing listings. One new country featured in the 2013 edition: Ecuador."
