RCI Brown Bag Lunch 1/9/13

RCI Brown Bag Lunch 1/9/13

Jan 09, 2013

RCI is beginning its 2013 Brown Bag Lunch Series on Wednesday, January 9th in Morse Hall, room 401 with a presentation by Robert Anderson, Associate Director of Research Computing and Instrumentation.  The topic is Distributed Version Control (using Bazaar).

Distributed Version Control Systems (DVCS) are generally used to track changes and note versions in source code, but may be used to track any file system-level changes.  This talk will cover the basic functionality of Bazaar (BZR).  It will focus on broadening DVCS use cases, getting started, and understanding the concepts.  An overview of Bazaar and this talk is available at http://slug.gnhlug.org/members/rea/slug/talks/bazaar.

RCI brown bag events take place on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:10 to 12:50pm.  Registration is not required and participants are encouraged to bring a lunch.

Any questions about the brown bag series may be directed to Jennifer Sorrell at jennifer.sorrell@unh.edu or 603-862-0201.
