More than one hundred scholars and advocates from around the globe will convene in Portsmouth, NH, on November 6-8, 2011 to discuss ending domestic and sexual violence, in a conference jointly sponsored by the University of New Hampshire School of Law's Social Justice Institute, the University of New Hampshire and the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.

The “Ending Domestic & Sexual Violence: Innovations in Practice & Research Conference” will feature noted legal scholars, child protection officials, court personnel, housing providers, mental health professionals, judges, faith-based organizations, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, probation officers, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, non-profit agencies, non-governmental victims advocates, and legal service providers, including law school clinics and researchers. It will provide basic and advanced training for practitioners and researchers on collaborative efforts to increase the quality of services provided to victims, improve the criminal justice system’s response to victims, and foster informed research on emerging issues.

The three-day conference will take place at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth.
