UNH Research Leveraging Initiative Awards Made to Eight Interdisciplinary Teams

Sep 14, 2011

The Provost’s Research Leveraging Initiative (RLI) recently provided start-up funding to eight visionary UNH projects.

The projects build on existing strengths and infrastructure; involve community, business, and/or academic partners; and employ teams of UNH tenure-track and research faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff.

Designed to enhance research, scholarship, and extramural funding at UNH, RLI awards support faculty release time, graduate students, travel, and other activities necessary to advance proposals to federal agencies and large private foundations.

Awardee teams are expected to submit proposals to these external sponsors within 18-24 months of receiving RLI funds.
