Plagiarism Education Week: From Copying to Critical Thinking is a virtual conference hosted by Turnitin and other sponsors. There are daily webcasts throughout the week featuring educators and educational experts sharing ideas and best practices to prevent plagiarism.

The editors of The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters provided in a recent issue a guide to appropriate citation which may be useful for researchers at all career stages. The editors discuss the importance of selecting and citing references correctly, the impact of cited references on published research, and how to respond to reviewers’ suggestions for references.
