  1. Do I need a Transfer Credit Prior Approval form to take course work at another university?

    No, but it is advisable since you will know before signing up for the course what UNH will accept.  Transfer Prior Approval forms are available at the Registrar's Office, 11 Garrison Ave., Stoke Hall, Durham, NH  03824.

  3. What is Senior Residency?

    The last year or 32 credits are supposed to be spent at UNH.  If your outside course work falls in this period, you must petition your college dean for his/her permission to take the course.

    If you are in an exchange program check "EXCHANGE PROG"; if a consortium exchange student check "NHCUC"; otherwise check "UNH CAMPUS STUDENT."

  5. How do I get credit for my transfer credits?

    Upon completion have the other university send an official transcript to:

  6. What grades do I need to get to transfer credits?

    You need a grade of "C" or better for the course work to transfer.  ("C-" or "CD" grades are not acceptable.).

    Yes.

    No, not normally.   The only exceptions are UNH courses taught by UNH professors at overseas or exchange locations.

    Yes, course descriptions must accompany the form.  In some cases additional information may be requested such as a course syllabus.

  10. Do courses at other universities satisfy the repeated course rules at UNH?

    Not normally.  In some cases the department or college may accept a course for grade only (no credit) if a similar course was passed at UNH.
