Residency is determined at the time of admissions for degree students and registration for non-degree students. A student's residence, for tuition purposes, is considered to be that of their parent, unless the student is emancipated.
Admitted students who have become New Hampshire residents may apply for a change in Residency by filing an Application for In-state status including all necessary documentation. In-state Application forms are available at the Registration Office in Stoke Hall.
Students may include any additional information regarding their unique situation.
To qualify for In-State status a student must reside in New Hampshire for no less than twelve months prior to the term for which In-state status is desired, for other than educational purposes, and meet all the other requirements of the tuition rules.
Return completed form to the Registration Office by appropriate deadline listed below:
NOTE: Everything must be done in writing! Make sure the form is signed and notarized.
Students will be notified in writing (at Granite Square Station box or address given on form) once a determination has been made.
